I’m not sure I would call a hutch that is colonial in style out dated. Colonial is a style that will always be classic. Not everyone likes TRENDY target beige & grey. Trendy will always be tacky & eventually out dated.

I have a beautiful solid hard rock maple dovetailed china cabinet in perfect condition similar to this with glass doors on the hutch though. No one in my family wants this beautiful piece that can be reused as any handy beautiful, small chest of drawers, changing table, etc. Hutch can be a display case, bookcase, etc. Can always change hardware, however the hutch has knobs on the glass doors, perfect for any taste. Even St. Vincent dePaul charities would not take it. Really do not have room after downsizing from over 3000 sq ft home to 990 sq ft. One of my granddaughters wanted the simple designed black & white silver trimmed china, so cabinet basically empty, so using hutch as display for my favorite religious statues, etc.

Did you sand the dresser at all, or just paint over it?

I'll be honest, it seemed like your paint was already thinned. And your container looks totally different than the standard general finishes cam. I use general finishes milk paint often and its always pretty thick. Great video!

First cabinet is my favorite. The staggered fluting looks more designer than all over fluting on 3rd item. Thanks for showing us all the details like how to fill and color nail holes or how to add a bottom to nail legs to. These are very useful knowledge for newbie diy-ers. :-D
